This is Grade No 1 Yellow Carnauba Wax conveniently package in 1 lb stand up pouch with zip lock. Carnauba is a natural vegetable wax exuded by the leaves of a palm tree (copernicia cerifera) and it is hardest natural wax available. The color and quality of the wax are governed by the age of the leaves and care used in processing of this hard, brittle, lustrous wax. Yellow flakes or powder, no or faint odor. Soluble in alcohol, insoluble in water.

- Carnauba wax has wide applications in cosmetics: creams, salves, ointments, protective creams, balms, pomades, lipsticks, mascaras, glosses.
- It has properties of non-gelling thickener, viscosity and consistency of the product’s enhancer (provides good texture and stability due to high melting point), emollient and moisturizer, skin protectant. Also, used as a shine and gloss enhancer in lip and hair care products.
- Use: Melt before use by combining together with your oil phase (like almond, castor, argan oils and cocoa, mango, shea, kokum butters).) in formulas requiring emulsification such as cremes and lotions or melt together with other ingredients in anhydrous formulations like lip balms or ointments. Can aid in increasing water repellency of your final DIY cosmetics or any other craft projects.
