Tight fit compression shirt

I usually wear medium or large shirts. I ordered an xl, it fit fine if I wanted a loose, baggy in places beach shirt. The sleeves were too long. This is supposed to be a skin snug rash guard beach shirt.I returned it and got size large, it fits perfectly. It is now snug against skin as it is supposed to be.
