Did exactly what I wanted them for Worked great. Where we vacation in Mexico we can snorkel from shore, but it’s (sometimes painfully) rocky getting in and out of the water. These definitely helped protect my feet while wading out deep enough to put my fins on and for getting back in. Perhaps not as well as something might with more of a sole, but then my fins wouldn’t fit over them. Very comfortable for snorkeling — didn’t even notice I had them on. OK on the shore, maybe I wear a women’s size 9.5, so I bought the small, which says it is for men’s size 6-7 and women’s size 8-9. When I put them on, they seem to be the right fit–the bottom of my foot matches the bottom of the sock pretty exactly–my foot may be a tad larger. However, when I go into the water with these, they fill up with water and almost pull off. In a fin, of course, the fin strap holds the sock on, but without that, these are pretty annoying. Great socks, but sizing a little weird These are great socks. I actually wear them as booties when I go out on my SUP. Just enough warmth without being too constraining. As long as you have a good deck pad on the SUP, traction won’t be a problem. These don’t have much grip on their own.I wear an 8 consistently, so I got the medium. I could actually stand for them to be a little more snug. Unlike most neoprene items, I would NOT size up on these. Neoprene is supposed to be snug; that’s how it works. If actually used them…
