Naked Viking Surf: Large GL Thruster Surfboard Fins (Set of 3 Fins) FCS & Futures Compatible
We carry a wide selection of templates because there is no single fin template that is perfect for everyone. All NVS Fins are designed in house and tested worldwide.
The SeriesIII Foiled GL Thruster surfboard fin is a medium sized template, available in both FCS and Futures base. The GL is a scaled up version of the widely popular NV-5.0 template. We extended the base to optimize down the line projection and drive through bottom turns. We also thinned out both the trailing edge and tip significantly, yielding a very progressive, responsive flex pattern. These fins are extremely fast and will allow surfers speed and control through arcing turns and in powerful surf. The GLs also allow larger surfers to more easily generate speed in smaller waves.

Loved the template
Had these (in Futures) for a while, just put them in. Loved the template, and the inlay is cool. However, I noticed the center fin front notch looked a little funky and sort of “rounded”. When I put them in I was sure to tighten the screw down, but the fin didn’t seem very well set. Sure enough, I lost the center fin at some point during my surf. I’d love a replacement, or maybe to just buy a center. The company itself seems cool — they sent a sticker and delivered pretty fast. I…
