Super-Duper gripper pad! It protected the car roof from contact with the roof bag and left no residue on the roof after it was removed. It left no scratches on the roof and I think it really yhelped to keep the bag from moving around while traveling. I’m really glad we bought it. One corner of the pad showed some wear and was probably affected by the wind as we drove – it didn’t tear and that part can be cut off before using it again. I can see many other uses for this item. Just as described! I love this so much I bought a second one. I got it to place under a cargo holder for my daughter’s car for her post-college drive home, and it did pretty well (wind caused it to flap in the front, which made it sound like the cargo holder was coming undone, but once we were sure that wasn’t the case, we got used to the sound).
