Dakine Baja Tie Down Straps – 12′ – Black

Stellar straps!! I recently purchased 2 SUP and needed straps to secure them to my roof of my 2008 Tahoe. I was a bit skeptical because I have never heard of this brand before, but I have to say, these are top of the line straps. Worth every penny. They synch down very well and I drove down the interstate at 70mph. I stopped twice along the way for my 4 hour drive and I did not need to tighten them at all. I think these straps are just ok. they hold nicely, and the padded clasp is nice, but the way they are designed, it’s a bit of a chorse to fish the strap through the buckle. Maybe this will get better with time, I found them to be more difficult to use than past tie-downs. Also, 12 feet is LONG. If you are just using this for surfboards, or paddleboards, or even kayaks, there is a lot of extra strap to deal with. I had to cut mine down, and “burn” the edge to make it easier to use,…
