Kawabungaaaa… Not as burly or as long as the original leash that it replaced. Mice ate through my original leash and I had to use a regular surfboard leash until I bought this one. As you can imagine, the surfboard leash was way too long and complicated board retrieval in rough surf. I haven’t tried the Storm out yet but because I’m a small guy… five foot-three, with short arms I don’t think that I will have a problem. We bought four of these and then last month bought one more. We used this last leash only a handful of times and it broke just two days after the 30 day return window is up???? The wristband separated from the leash in small waves too – it’s not like there were super big waves or anything. Of the other four we bought in December for xmas and started using in June, three of them need to be replaced already because the Velcro is fraying and won’t…
Works as expected. I had a non-coiled leash and was tired of dealing with the extra leash around my arms after 10 minutes in the water so I bought this coiled leash. Its much nicer at only about 1.5ft coiled, 3.5-4ft uncoiled. Easier to meneuver the board with as it stretches and retracts with my arm movements. Unscrewed the old leash and installed this one. Couldn’t get it crewed tight enough as my board had compressed a little from the old leash but it still works fine. I may get it tighter…
