Do not buy for use in pools. You get what you pay for. The fit was perfect. I am a size 8 and the 8-8.5 size fit perfectly and not too snug, just right so that I knew that they would stay on. HOWEVER, these are very cheaply made and you get what you pay for. These did not last one hour in the pool. When I took them off I was extremely disappointed to find two holes in one and the beginnings of holes in the other. Comfy and fit very well I LOVE these shoes! I think they are pretty well made and will be good beach shoes. Comfortable to wear around the house. I won’t get to try them out on the beach until Jan though. I also bought the Freely brand and I like it just a little bit more because the stitching around the top has a more finished look with matching thread (the thread is black on these).
